The Faculty Council is the faculty's decision-making body. It exercises all powers not expressly reserved for another authority or body. It is chaired by the Dean, and includes representatives of all academic, scientific, administrative, technical and labor bodies.

It meets once a month (11 meetings over the course of the academic year) and establishes the Faculty's internal rules in compliance with the regulations adopted by the Board of Directors, and deals with any issue that the Dean decides to put on the agenda. It sets up any committees it deems useful for the smooth running of the Faculty, ensuring that the various departments, courses of study and/or research units are represented, according to the committee's themes.
