T

he FPLSE is particularly concerned with the quality of the professionals it trains. To this end, it :

  • meet Belgian and European requirements for the training of psychologists, speech therapists and educationalists;
  • to train competent professionals who can respond to the needs of society and its evolution, and bring a critical eye to bear.

In concrete terms, this means :

To bear the TITLE of psychologist, the law requires a Master's degree in Psychological Sciences and registration with the Belgian Commission of Psychologists.

To be able to PRACTICE as a clinical psychologist, the law requires that, after obtaining a Master's degree in clinical psychology, the psychologist undergoes a one-year professional internship at an accredited training center.

The courses offered in the ULiège psychology curriculum meet these legal requirements.
