he main mission of the Agence pour l'Evaluation de la Qualité de l'Enseignement Supérieur (AEQES) is to plan independent quality assessment procedures for higher education in the Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles (FWB) - whatever the institutions involved (universities, colleges of higher education, schools of the arts, educational establishments for social promotion) - and to organize the follow-up to planned assessments.

The aim is to gradually improve teaching practices by highlighting good practices, shortcomings and problems to be solved, and by generating proposals to be addressed to policy-makers with a view to improving the overall quality of higher education in FWB.

The programs of the Faculty of Psychology, Logopedics and Education Sciences (FPLSE) at the University of Liège were recently evaluated by EQAES. In 2014-2015, FPLSE first wrote a self-evaluation report on five quality criteria defined by AEQES (the report is published on the AEQES website and available below). Then, in March 2016, FPLSE was visited by a team of experts from the academic and professional worlds. These experts read the self-evaluation report and met with teachers, students, alumni and representatives of the professional world brought together by FPLSE. Following this, in June 2016, the experts proposed a series of recommendations to the FPLSE (the report is also published on the EQTA website). Based on the self-evaluation report and the experts' report, FPLSE has defined its action plan (available below); a follow-up visit on the implementation of this action plan will be carried out in five years' time (2020-2021).
