Le 23 mars prochain, le Professeur Anton ALUJA recevra les insignes de Docteur honoris causa de notre université en tant que candidat proposé par la faculté de Psychologie, Logopédie et Sciences de l'Education.

Le professeur Anton ALUJA est un grand pionnier de la recherche dans le domaine relatif aux traits de la personnalité, et plus particulièrement à ceux liés à l’impulsivité et à la recherche de sensation, mais aussi dans l’évaluation et le diagnostic psychologique avec un accent particulier sur les différences individuelles.

Dans le cadre de sa venue à Liège, il donnera le jeudi 23 mars, une conférence publique intitulée "Biological bases of personality in recent years".

Abstract: 

Human personality has been studied from different perspectives as it is a multifactorial phenomenon. In this conference, social factors related to personality such as learning, intelligence, socialization, health psychology, and culture will be presented, as well as structural models of personality through the main assessment instruments in normal and pathological personality. More particularly, research focused on the biological bases of personality will be described, such as the relationship of personality with the endocrine system (in particular gonadal hormones) and certain genetic polymorphisms such as MAO, Serotonin, and androgen receptor gene. Electrophysiological bases of personality through the study of the startle reflex in emotional tasks and the role of the prefrontal cortex in working memory and emotional tasks will be presented.
